Lush's Blogger Event and OOTN

So yesterday evening I was lucky enough to be invited to Lush's Blogger Event. It was a great and I didn't think I could love Lush anymore before attending, but they have definitely managed to get me even more hooked than I was beforehand!

Looking over everyone having fun participating in many different activities

We were lucky enough to hear about the ethics of Lush before taking apart of many different activities. I don't think I could be more impressed with the values Lush have and what a positive impact they are making to the greater community. If you have ever heard of Lush or used any of their products before I am sure you are aware that one of there biggest aim is to leave as little impact on the environment as possible. I certainly had these beliefs, but I had no idea just how much they are doing to produce green products.
Many companies these days are able to say they don't test their products on animals and be truthful, but that doesn't mean they aren't getting someone else to test the ingredients for them. However, you can go into any Lush store worldwide and be guarantied that all of the suppliers for their ingredients are also not testing any of their products on animals.
You may not know it, but Lush have a fund called the Slush fund in this fund they put 2% of the money they would spend on buying in ingredients then donate the money to farmers in third world countries in order to allow them to become self sufficient and later a producer of Lush ingredients. Lush also have their charity pot product in which ALL the proceeds except GST goes to many different charities, I just find these such unbelievably kind acts!
The packaging on Lush products are far different from any other packaging. They try to make all of their packaging recyclable, reusable or very low impact on the environment. It is against Lush's policy to spend money on any form of advertising therefore you know your money is going purely to charity and for the top quality ingredients you receive when you purchase from Lush.

Being shown a new way of packaging, A japanese tradition of using scarfs that are then given back to the person who gave the gift to be reused again.

Lastly, Lush have hundreds of shops on busy streets and Lush use this space very effectively. They campaign for issues they believe in including gay marriage and asylum seekers only naming a few.

Looking over all of Lush's Bath Bombs

Lush is such an unselfish, natural brand which I have gained a lot of trust in their products. I can sometimes come up with an oily T zone, and am trying to eat clean and use organic, clean products in attempt to better my skin. I have been trying this for a while and never been able to come across a brand that I fully trust is natural, but now I do. I don't see why you would buy from anywhere else, organic ingredients that are not only good for the environment but leave your skin soft, and smelling amazing! I can honestly not say one brand about any of these products.

Creating our own Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser

Packaging The cleanser

The event run by Lush could not have been any better run! We were greeted by champagne, juice and nibbles before an overview on the brand ethics which I have briefly covered above. We were able to make our own angels on bare skin cleanser which reaffirmed just how natural all their products are. We were treated and pampered from skin consultations, my skin has never felt so good. I tried out Lush's emotional wheel of brilliance which is an experience unlike anything I had tried before.  Each colour is related to an emotion. I don't want to ruin it for anyone who is wanting to have this done in the future but I can honestly say the colours and emotions I picked out described me very closely which was surprising to me, I would definitely have a go at the emotional brilliance wheel if you ever get the opportunity!

I was lucky enough to go home with the angels on bare skin cleanser, Ro's Argan body conditioner, Ultrabland Facial Cleanser,Herbalism Fresh Facial Cleanser, Dream Cream Hand and Body Lotion, Bubblegum Lip Scrub, Sex Bomb Bath Ballistic, Honey I Washed The Kids Soap, Coal Face Cleanser and Breath of Fresh Air Toner. I am incredible thankful for to Lush for allowing me to attend such an incredible night and for the products they were kind enough to let me sample. Be sure to look out for reviews to come up in the next few days or weeks. I am sure I will be buying more products in the near future as well so keep an eye out for that.
